Designer Dresses made in either various Petite or Plus Sizes.  If you have a specific type of style that is necessary for your event it is ok and does not matter how intense the change needs to be for all of our Special Occasion Mother of the Bride ball gowns items can be made however you like.  Young women have used our Semi Formal plus size evening wear Ball Gowns, Pageant and Elegant Black Tie Holiday Party Attire for all sorts of parties. Various creations shown on our site can be used as or made to work as Debutante Dresses and Quinceanera Dresses. Those are also available as plus size formal dresses too.

The well established company named Darius Cordell Designs Inc is a couture design establishment positioned in Frisco which is just about twenty five miles north of Dallas Texas.  All were introduced and has been manufactured superbly with masterfully technique and skill with the kindest of care since the year of 1996.  

We've sold our formal gowns by appointment where they meet with you in person where you can see their smiling faces or by mail order shipping which is where many clients have used our web site as a catalog that is just visible on the internet.  All of our pieces can be customized to a clients personal taste.  Any color that is requested is available for plus size formal wear.  We also provided a color chart on our site for reference.  All types of fabrics can be used based on the customers preferences if there is any at all.  When there is none then you can simply let the designer produce it accordingly.  People of all petite or plus size are welcome for we will make them made to fit for anyone's body type for all shapes including plus size ball gowns.  Whatever change you need or want to make to one of our special occasion or holiday formal dresses is ok as well for all modification will be accepted per the clients request.  If the plus size ball gowns are already heavily beaded you can change those specifications to being lightly done and visa versa.

We don't have a problem shipping any one of the lovely vintage ball gowns or mother of the bride creations that are within our over three hundred piece collection both locally if necessary or anywhere that is required world wide which is including locations even in rural areas or metropolitan places to all 50 states and around the globe.

Oklahoma, Kansas and Louisiana are very close to TX so we have several clients drive in from there to order their plus size bridal gowns and evening wear garments.

But most of our mail order clients come from the southern parts of California

The other high volume of clients usually are from the new England area in states like in Connecticut, jersey and of course the very popular new York city.

The plus size pageant gowns that we sell are normally shipped to some of the southern or mid-western states like Alabama, Georgia.  They also include places like north Carolina and west Virginia.

Unfortunately we do not get a lot of pageant orders from the other parts of the Midwest in places like st Louis, Illinois or Indiana but when we do there are usually for plus size mother of the bride dresses and not any thing related to pageantry.

Some of our plus size evening gowns are used as larger sized bridal dresses and full figured mother of the bride gowns in south beach Florida down near the Miami, Naples and Orlando area.

We used to stock some of our plus size dresses and made to measure gowns in a high end store in Scottsdale Arizona which has in the past been where a lot of the social community resides.

Maryland and Dc are popular areas for black tie special occasion events and will probably be more so this year with the inaugural ball.  So many of our orders for formal ball gowns in the past have come from that area of the country - plus size ball gowns as well beaded ball gowns.

Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee are extremely well populated and popular states for pageantry competitions.  There are a lot of Miss America and Mrs. USA contestants from that area in local and state beauty pageants hence why we get many inquiries from that area as well.

Around the Colorado cities you will find that many of the bust and width of back measurements are larger mostly due to the climate and amount of air that is needed at certain altitudes.

Hawaii consumers sometimes have a hard time getting designer dresses from the states over to their islands but will certainly order their merchandise via mail order and have them shipped.

It is now time for inaugural ball gowns to be put on the scene.  All of our designs can be made to have this type of ball gown skirt - any changes are ok to our designs so the sky is the limit.

our northern neighbors to the north east in Massachusetts and Michigan normally prefer the long sleeved garments due to the colder climates and shorter summers.

We do not make that many tea length dresses.  Most of our designer gowns are full length.  However it is quite easy for anyone to have one of their local tailors shorten their garments to the perfect length they need or want.

what we have found out recently is that we have seen several of our inquiries from the state of Pennsylvania for mother of the bride dresses and plus size bridal gowns.  For some reason that area of the country finds out site easier.

Quinceanera Gowns & debutant dresses can be custom made to order through our company.  Many use prom dresses for this same purpose to save money and makes them more affordable and less expensive.

We do not have very many clients that come from the states of Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin but that is not to say we have had none.  For we have sold our plus size gowns to women all across the globe and hope to do so for many years to come.

Born and raised in Dallas Texas, Darius moved to Norman Oklahoma in 1987 after graduation from Lake Highlands High School to attend the University of Oklahoma.  It was during this time in college that Darius confirmed it was the world of fashion that was his passion and that he wanted to become a Dallas bridal gown designer of wedding dresses, special occasion evening gowns, and Dallas Dress designer of formal dresses.   

After some moderate local success in Oklahoma, Darius as a new designer decided that he was ready to take his evening gown dress designs to the national level.  It was then, that the marriage of determination, compassion, design, &  fashion sense were perfectly melded into Darius producing his own designer collection of high end formal evening wear gowns.  He introduced his first collection at the Atlanta Apparel Market in October of 1996. This was the beginning of the label "Darius Cordell" taking its rightful place as a contender in the pageant gowns and designer evening dresses arena.  Just over a year later, Darius as a new designer introduced his first collection of informal wedding gowns that has since evolved into a successful line on its own.   

The design firm company, Darius Cordell Designs, exhibited clothing exclusively only to bridal shops salons boutiques and retail stores for years from a private showroom within the Dallas International Apparel Market as well as other regional wholesale markets in Chicago, Las Vegas and New York.  In 1998 the company relocated back to Darius' native home of Dallas Texas where he has experimented with selling his designs to individuals across the world via the internet as well as to select retail clients in the Dallas Metroplex area via his private studio.  The company still offers their designer evening wear and custom bridal gown designs wholesale to retailers for resale via regional markets for even further exposure nationwide.  However the direct consumer response locally to our evening dresses and bridal gowns via mail order through the internet, retail, has been great.  That is why the company has moved their offices to an upscale retail studio showcasing our Dallas bridal gown designers dresses.  We are now open to the public from this new location in Hackberry crossing office park that is located just minutes from the Stonebriar mall in Frisco which is just 25 miles north of Dallas.  

Darius' gown line, with office's in Frisco - near in Dallas Texas, has developed into a sleek and elegant collection of fine custom bridal gowns and social occasion evening wear.  With no formal training and his God given talents, Darius' self titled label "Darius Cordell" is well on its way to becoming a house hold name not just in Dallas Texas but internationally in the fashion world of informal bridal gowns & designer evening wear dresses.
